Chest Physician

Pranaam is equipped to handle a broad range of pulmonary diseases and breathing disorders in adults and children. Our care is rendered in accordance with national and international guidelines for the management of this disorder. Our approach is patient centered and aimed at providing a partnership approach with an emphasis on self-management. We have access to all of the currently available medications, and also are involved in studies of exciting, new, breakthrough medications. Education of our patients is a major portion of our approach.

We render care to many patients with emphysema and chronic bronchitis. These diseases comprise what is commonly referred to as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Our approach utilizes a wide variety of modalities including medications, oxygen therapy, and rehabilitation.

The practice cares for a large number of patients with lung cancer and other malignancies of the respiratory system. We are involved in the diagnosis and all of our physicians are expert bronchoscopists. We have the ability to perform several diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in an ambulatory setting, many times within the confines of our office.

The practice has the expertise to care for patients with other pulmonary disorders such as sarcoidosis, pneumonia, bronchitis, and tuberculosis. The office is equipped to provide a broad range of procedures required in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients with pulmonary disorders.

We have fully equipped pulmonary function laboratories and provide a range of tests usually found only in large university hospital facilities. A fully equipped exercise laboratory is available so that shortness of breath can be accurately diagnosed. Our technicians are trained and certified and provide testing to both adults and children. We have many special features to allow for easy testing of most children. Our offices are equipped to provide radiographic studies (X-rays) so that all required tests can be done at one time eliminating unnecessary return visits.
